About me

Empowering students through education

Hello! My name is Bernalee Kirchner, and I’m a passionate and dedicated teacher with a strong commitment to nurturing young minds. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Foundation Phase education at Stadio University, complementing my existing Higher Certificate in Education. My teaching experience includes working as a Grade 2 teacher at Holy Cross Primary School, where I managed classrooms, developed subject improvement plans, and maintained effective communication with parents to ensure student success.

I’ve also had the pleasure of teaching and assisting at Cascade Primary, Curro Pre-School as well as George preparatory where I supported small groups of children and helped create engaging learning environments. I’m well-versed in CAPS (Curriculum Assessment Policy Statements) and proficient in using educational tools like Microsoft Office and Stellar for lesson planning.

I believe in the importance of creating a supportive and inclusive environment where every child feels valued. My teaching philosophy revolves around fostering creativity, curiosity, and a love for learning. I am eager to continue developing my skills and contributing to the field of education.

In addition to my teaching experience, I’ve worked in customer service and events coordination, which has honed my organizational skills and ability to work well under pressure. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy cross-country running and being actively involved in extra-mural activities.
